Our story

A family
address in the 9th.

In 2005, two brothers opened Le Petit Gourmet on rue du Faubourg Montmartre. The bet was new in Paris: serve a French traditional cuisine, fully halal, in a neighbourhood dining room. Twenty years on, the address has become a reference of the 9th.

Everything is made in-house: the simmering sauces, the daily pasta, the morning-cut fries, the burger buns, the soups, the desserts. The salmon arrives whole and the chef cuts it on site. No fusion, no trends — great tradition, every day.

The menu

Made in-house,
every day.

Daily pasta, meats chosen at the butcher's, salmon cut in the kitchen, fresh sides. The menu doesn't change every month — the good dishes stay.

The chef

A cuisine learned by heart.

It all starts on a stool, in front of his mother's worktop. Too small to reach the cutting board, he climbs up and learns the gestures by watching — peeling, trimming, simmering. That childhood never leaves him.

He trains in several major Parisian houses, including Royal Opéra and George V, where he specialises in classic French cuisine: long sauces, meats seared just right, precise cooking.

In 2005, he opens Le Petit Gourmet with his brother. The idea fits in one sentence: offer this great tradition to a clientele who, until then, didn't have access to it in halal.
